Tiramisu Martini: Velvet Indulgence
This tiramisu martini takes everything I love about that iconic Italian dessert and shakes it into a glass. It’s rich, velvety, indulgent, and unforgettable.

My love letter to Italy continues. I had the most unforgettable tiramisu in Siena, a dessert so perfect that I know I’ll probably never create it in my kitchen. Maybe one day I’ll try, but for now, I just want to hold onto the memory of that moment. Tiramisu belongs to Italy, to that table, and to the feeling of taking that very first bite.
But if you know me, you know I can’t leave a good memory behind without turning it into a cocktail. This martini is my way of bottling up that first bite of creamy mascarpone and espresso-soaked ladyfingers. Dessert in a martini glass.
Time to shake it up, Italian-style… let’s-a maka da cocktail together! Tiramisu Martini Ingredients

- Coffee liqueur – I’m going with Tia Maria here. It’s a little pricier than some others, but we’re indulging, right?
- Vanilla vodka – the vanilla flavor really rounds out the cocktail and plays beautifully with the coffee and cream.
- Irish cream liqueur – Bailey’s is my go-to, always creamy and dependable.
- Espresso – it has to be true espresso, either from your machine or your favorite coffee spot. Skip the bottled stuff from the supermarket; it just won’t do this cocktail justice. Oh, and make sure it’s cold.
How to Make a Tiramisu Martini
This cocktail is così dannatamente easy (that’s Italian for “so damn easy”. I had to look that up, by the way.) But let’s be sure of a few things before we start.
Cold is key. Fill that cocktail shaker all the way up with ice. While you’re at it, drop a few cubes into your martini glass to chill it down. Toss them right before you strain that velvety beauty in.
Now, simply add all your measured ingredients into the shaker. Shake it like you mean it for a good 15 seconds until the outside feels icy cold. Strain into your chilled glass, dust with cocoa powder, and you’ve got yourself a tiramisu martini your peeps are going to go wild for.

Serving Suggestions
This tiramisu martini is the ultimate way to end an Italian-inspired dinner party.
Start with something simple but crowd-pleasing like my crispy Risotto Balls. They’re bite-sized, golden, and perfect to pass around with that first glass of wine.
For the main dish, keep it rustic but impressive with my Italian Sausage and Mushroom Pasta. It’s a straightforward recipe, but trust me, it delivers big on flavor. Of course, no Italian table is complete without a loaf of crusty sourdough. My crew would be disappointed if I didn’t put one out. Tear it, dip it, enjoy it alongside the pasta.
And then, instead of plating up a heavy dessert, bring out this tiramisu martini. It’s creamy, indulgent, and the perfect way to cheer to great company.
Dress It Up, Italian-Style
A tiramisu martini is already indulgent, but the garnish is where you can have some fun.
- Sprinkle of cocoa powder – the classic finish, just like the dessert.
- Ladyfinger cookie – stick one in the glass or balance it on the rim for that true tiramisu look.
- Rimmed glass – I love using Snowy River White Chocolate Sugar (yep, Amazon find) to really dress it up and impress. Grab a set of martini glasses while you’re at it. I’m obsessed with the ones I found there.
- Chocolate – use chocolate shavings, or if you really want to fancy things up, swirl some chocolate around your martini glass before straining.

Tiramisu Martini FAQ
Technically, yes, but espresso is what really gives this cocktail its bold flavor. Coffee from the pot just doesn’t have the same intensity. If you don’t have an espresso machine, grab a shot from your favorite café.
An espresso martini is all about the kick of vodka and fresh espresso. A tiramisu martini is an indulgent cocktail, featuring ingredients like Irish cream, coffee liqueur, and a hint of vanilla. Think of the espresso martini as sleek and sharp, and the tiramisu martini as creamy and dessert-like
It’s really so easy to shake this up in just a minute. The only thing to plan ahead is your espresso. Have it ready and cooled so when it’s time to mix, you can go straight into shaking. That way, your tiramisu martini pours out fresh, cold, and frothy every time.
