I just can’t enough of the aroma- so fresh and floral, but I know what you’re thinking—who wants to taste a flower? I promise this isn’t perfume in a glass. It smells like a bouquet but tastes wonderfully sweet and delicate.

The fresh lemon juice cuts through that sweetness with a bright, citrusy zing, creating the perfect balance of floral and refreshing. And then there’s the soft pink hue—it’s subtle, elegant, and utterly charming, making this drink as visually stunning as it is delicious. Pour it over ice, top it with your favorite libation, and you have a drink that will make you feel giddy when handing it over to your gal pals. So let’s giddy up and make this Pink Petal Spritz together…

Ingredients for a Rose Lemonade Cocktail

  • Edible Rose Petals: They bring delicate floral flavor and charm. These can be found on Amazon. Don’t you just love Amazon? Imagine driving all over town, awkwardly asking for edible rose petals at every store. Nope—just one click, and they’re at your door the next day. Modern convenience at its finest!
  • Sugar: Dissolved in the water to sweeten your simple syrup.
  • Water: The base for your simple syrup.
  • Fresh Lemon Juice: Adds brightness and a refreshing citrus kick. No bottled juice ALLOWED!
  • The Bubbly of Your Choice: Champagne, prosecco, sparkling water, or your favorite liquor—whatever makes you smile!

How to Make a Rose Lemonade Cocktail

First, let’s start with the highlight of this cocktail: the rose simple syrup.

To make the syrup:

  1. Combine 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  2. Stir in 1/4 cup of the rose petals. Simmer the mixture for 10 minutes.
  3. Squeeze in the lemon juice, let it sit, and steep for an additional 15 minutes to enhance the flavor and extract the beautiful color of the petals into the syrup.
  4. Strain the syrup, discard the rose petals, and let it cool. Store in an air-tight jar or bottle in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.

Now that your syrup is ready, it’s time to bring everything together!

To Make the Rose Lemonade Cocktail:

  1. Add a generous splash of rose simple syrup into a glass filled with ice, 1-2 ounces, depending on how sweet you like your cocktail.
  2. Top it off with your choice of bubbly, liquor, or sparkling water.
  3. Give it a gentle stir, garnish with a lemon slice, an edible flower, and some fresh mint, and enjoy!

No fancy gadgets, no complicated steps—just a drink perfect for a girls’ night (or a day drink, no judgments here). Grab your pretty glasses and get ready to sip something fun and fancy. Cheers!

Let’s Make A Cocktail Bar

I’m genuinely so excited about this bar setup! This cocktail is so simple to make that you can set everything out and let your friends have fun crafting their own fancy sips.

Here’s what to set out for the perfect DIY cocktail bar:

  • Rose Simple Syrup: I would double the recipe for the syrup and leave it out in a large, pretty gravy boat or, even fancier, a crystal cocktail pitcher.
  • Bubbly Options: Include champagne or prosecco. Or sparkling water or soda for your mocktail lovers.
  • Fresh Lemon Slices: A bright, simple garnish that adds a citrusy pop.
  • Edible Flowers: Keep the rose theme going with edible flowers that your peeps can spoon on top as a garnish.
  • Mint: Fresh mint for an aromatic touch.
  • Pretty Pink Sugar: Add a little sparkle by leaving out some pink sugar for rimming glasses—it’s easy, fun, and makes every drink look extra festive.
  • Ice: Lots of it—no one likes a warm drink!

It’s a no-fuss setup that lets your guests have fun crafting their own drinks—while you enjoy the party without playing bartender all night.

Notes

Another added option is to rim your glass with rimming sugar before making the cocktail.  Run a lemon wedge around the rim of your glass to moisten it.  Dip the rim into a shallow plate of sugar, twisting gently to coat evenly.  Tap off any excess sugar and let it sit for a moment before adding ice to the glass.
