If you love pistachios and you love a good cocktail, this pistachio martini is about to become your new favorite pour. It’s creamy, nutty, and silky with just the right touch of sweetness. The best part! It has only 3 ingredients.

This one leans indulgent, so skip the tall highball glass. A proper martini glass is where this pistachio martini belongs. Serve it as a dessert cocktail at your next dinner party, or pour it during cocktail hour when you want something a little unexpected. It’s rich, it’s boozy, and it’s absolutely a slow sip.

I honestly don’t even remember how I first stumbled onto a pistachio martini, but most versions called for hard-to-find spirits and a full bar setup. Not this one. These three easy-to-find ingredients come together almost magically, creating a creamy pistachio martini with the dreamiest soft green hue.

It’s not complicated. Just three bottles. One shaker. A little shake-shake moment. And suddenly you’re serving a cocktail that looks like it belongs in a velvet booth somewhere. Let’s break it down.

Pistachio Martini Ingredients

A bottle of Amaretto, Bailey's and Blue Curaçao on a wooden surface. The tree ingredients in a pistachio martini.
  • Amaretto – It’s an Italian almond-flavored liqueur that’s slightly sweet with warm, nutty notes. Even though it tastes like almonds. There are different brands of amaretto. The most well-known is Disaronno, but there are plenty of others. Any standard bottle labeled amaretto liqueur will work perfectly in your pistachio martini.
  • Irish Cream – Is there anything other than Bailey’s? Technically, yes. But Bailey’s is everywhere, it’s reliable, and it delivers that luscious, nutty creaminess we’re after in this pistachio martini. It brings sweetness, body, and that silky texture that makes this cocktail feel almost like dessert in a glass.
  • Blue Curaçao – This bright blue liqueur has a subtle orange flavor with a slightly sweet, citrusy edge. In this pistachio martini, it works behind the scenes to add depth and, when mixed with the cream tones, creates that unexpectedly cool green hue

How to Make a Pistachio Martini

You really can’t get any easier than this one. If you know me, I love a simple syrup in my cocktails, but I won’t be asking that of you in this one.

Just fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the Irish cream, blue curaçao, and amaretto, then give it a good, confident shake until it’s chilled and creamy. Strain into your favorite martini glass and pour. No more. That’s it! Ok, you want to fancy it up a bit?

Garnishes and Fun Twists

  • Crush salted pistachios and sprinkle them onto a swirl of canned whipped cream right on the rim.
  • Rim the glass with crushed pistachios for texture in every sip.
  • Use a festive sugar rim for extra sweetness and a full-on green beauty moment.
  • Squeeze fresh lime into the shaker if you prefer a more citrus-forward pistachio martini. It brightens the creaminess beautifully.
  • Add a splash of club soda to lighten things up if it feels a bit too indulgent.
  • Drizzle chocolate syrup inside the glass before pouring for a pistachio-chocolate twist.
  • Garnish with white chocolate shavings for full dessert energy.
  • Swap in coconut whipped cream for a subtle tropical vibe.
  • Chill your martini glass in the freezer beforehand for that frosty, restaurant-style feel.

  • To Batch for a Crowd: Multiply each ingredient evenly. For example:
    • 1 cup Irish cream
    • 1 cup blue curaçao
    • 1 cup amaretto
Stir together in a pitcher and refrigerate until ready to serve. Shake individual portions with ice before pouring for the best texture.
