The Apple Cider Martini Recipe Ingredients

Apple Cider Martini ingredients pictured with text.
  • Apple Cider – Fresh apple cider makes this cocktail so crisp and refreshing. Visit local farmers’ markets or check out your local grocery store; it is usually available from late summer through early winter. Hard apple cider should not be substituted for this recipe. Hard cider is a fermented alcoholic beverage made from apple juice with various flavors, from dry to sweet. It would completely change the flavor profile of the martini.
  • Vodka – Use your favorite. I prefer Tito’s, which is subtle and smooth.
  • Triple Sec – Balances the sweetness and enhances the overall flavor profile.
  • Lemon juice – Freshly squeezed, adds a touch of brightness and citrus.
  • Cinnamon Syrup – Introduces a warm, spiced sweetness that complements apple cider. Homemade cinnamon syrup is super simple and costs less than store-bought. Simmer equal parts sugar and water with cinnamon sticks. For a more detailed recipe please refer to my hibiscus simple syrup recipe.
  • Apple Pie Spice—This spice combines all the flavors of fall: cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.

How to Make This Apple Cider Martini Recipe

Are you ready to see how ridiculously easy it is? Your friends will inevitably ask, “What’s your secret?” Just smile and revel in the fact that the real secret is how effortlessly simple it is to make.

Just three simple steps…

Step 1: Firstly, fill your cocktail shaker with ice halfway.

Step 2: Add apple cider, vodka, triple sec, and lemon juice. (The measurements are in the recipe card.) Add a splash of cinnamon syrup and a pinch of apple pie spice.

Step 3: Shake and pour the mixture into your favorite martini glass using a strainer. Then, sip and enjoy!

That’s it, my friends! There’s nothing else to it.

Oh wait! You want to elevate it even more? OK, my boujee peeps…

Fun Ways to Serve

For your sweet tooth friends: mash some graham crackers and add cinnamon sugar. Next, dip the rim in maple syrup or caramel, followed by the graham cracker smash.

Apple Slice Elegance: Garnish with a thin apple slice or a twist of lemon rind for extra brightness.

Cinnamon Stick Swirl: A fun way to stir your drink, and adds that aromatic touch.

Chilled and Charmed: Use a frosted glass for a chilled, charming handheld.

Apple Cider Fizz: Top your martini with a splash of sparkling water or ginger ale, or, to make it even boozier, add prosecco.

Autumn Sprinkles: Add a dash of apple pie spice or cinnamon.

Fruity fusion: If you want to make your friends feel like you put in that extra oomph for your gathering, add dehydrated apples or lemons to the top of your cocktail. They look pretty damn elegant and infuse the cocktail with some extra fruitiness if there’s time for an infusion. (Not with my friends!)

Apple Cider Martini Recipe for A Crowd

Want to make this cocktail for the whole gang? No worries; instead of measuring ounces, measure cups. When the recipe card calls for a splash or a dash, use your judgment and make the splash extra splashy, and the dashes extra dashy.

It’s the perfect make-ahead cocktail. Just fill a pitcher with the ingredients and store in your fridge. Be sure not to add any ice when making ahead. We certainly don’t want to dilute it. No diluting allowed!

Cheers!

I don’t usually write reviews, but I had to make an exception for this apple cider martini. What I loved most about it is that it wasn’t overly sweet. It struck the perfect balance—crisp and refreshing with just the right amount of apple cider flavor. The subtle hints of spice made it feel like fall in a glass without being heavy or syrupy. It’s the kind of drink you can savor without feeling overwhelmed by sweetness. If you’re someone who enjoys a well-crafted cocktail that’s not too sugary, this one’s definitely worth trying
