Whether sitting fireside with your boo or gathering your peeps for a cozy get-together, this is a must-have winter martini recipe to have in your repertoire. Picture this: a velvety blend of smooth vodka and the indulgent sweetness of white chocolate liqueur, enriched with more chocolatey deep flavors of creme de cacao. But wait, there’s more – a hint of rich, warm vanilla simple syrup and a burst of zesty lemon to add a refreshing citrus twist. Doesn’t it sound like a Snowy Temptation?

It might seem like a complex cocktail to make, but I assure you, it’s surprisingly easy. Let’s get to the ingredients and steps together to start sippin’ this martini ASAP.

Winter Martini Recipe Ingredients

  • Vodka – the base of the martini. I prefer Titos; it has a smooth, subtle taste.
  • White Chocolate Liqueur – is the true star of the cocktail. It adds a rich, creamy sweetness that mimics the flavor of white chocolate, bringing decadence. I usually prefer using Godiva, but any brand will do.
  • Creme de Cacao – is a chocolate-flavored liqueur that brings a deeper chocolate flavor to the cocktail. The clear and dark creme de cacao work with this cocktail, but if you want a true white color, use the clear.
  • Vanilla Bean Simple Syrup – adds a rich, warm, aromatic quality to the martini. Vanilla bean homemade simple syrup is, well… so simple! I promise it will become a staple in your fridge once you make it. Mix one cup of sugar with one cup of water and add a vanilla bean cut lengthwise. You can find vanilla beans on Amazon and make the SIMPLE syrup much cheaper than buying ready-made vanilla bean simple syrup. • Lemon Juice – just a splash of freshly squeezed lemon introduces a bright, citrusy note that cuts through the richness of the other ingredients, elevating the drink and keeping it from being overly heavy.

How to Craft Up This Winter Martini Recipe

Easy peasy…

  1. Mix the ingredients: Fill your cocktail shaker halfway with ice. Measure out the vodka, white chocolate liqueur, creme de cacao, and vanilla simple syrup with your cocktail jigger (my cocktail-making friends, if you don’t have a jigger, please get yourself one; they fancy up the whole experience of crafting your cocktail). Next, freshly squeeze a small half lemon into the shaker.

2. Shake and Strain: Shake the mixture and strain that beauty into your most beautiful martini glass. Check out these vintage martini glasses on Amazon—they’re so reasonable and gorg!

3. Garish: If desired, garnish with white chocolate shavings, sprinkle with cocoa powder, or add a lemon twist.

Quick Note

if you want to add an extra touch of flavor and presentation, rim your glass before step one with your favorite rimming ingredient.

How to Rim Your Glass

1. Choose Your Rimming Ingredient:

  • Sugared Rim: There are many beautiful sugar rimmers on Amazon. I love this glitter rimmer for a festive sip.
  • Shaved chocolate rim: White or chocolate shavings add so much deliciousness.
  • Coconut rim: Shredded coconut adds a tropical flavor and gives the cocktail an extra snowy look.
  • Peppermint rim for the holiday: Crush a candy cane in a zip lock.

2. Prepare the Glass:

  • Run a lemon wedge around the martini glass to moisten the rim so the desired ingredient sticks to it.
  • Add extra sweetness and dip the rim in caramel or melted chocolate.

3. Coat the Rim:

  • Gently twist the class to coat it evenly. Allow the rim to set for a moment before pouring it into your cocktail.

Make-Ahead Cocktail

Entertain like a pro and whip up this winter martini recipe before your friends arrive- because nothing says “I have it all together,” like being ready before the doorbell rings. Combine the vodka, white chocolate liqueur, creme de cacao, and vanilla bean simple syrup in a mixing container and store in the fridge. Squeeze in the lemon juice before serving to give it that fresh burst. Be sure not to mix it with ice if making it ahead of time; that will water down the cocktail, and we certainly don’t want that! Add mix and lemon juice to the shaker with ice before pouring it into your beautifully rimmed martini glass.

Want to batch it up? No problem! Measure in cups instead of ounces. Remember to add lemon juice to taste. Now we have ourselves a party! Enjoy, my friend!
